Default Repeal 40B - The So-Called "affordable housing" law

The 40B Record

Massachusetts ranks 49th in national housing affordability after 39 years of 40B developments
Fails to produce enough affordable housing (about 3 units per town per year)
Forces growth of mostly high density, unaffordable homes
Wastes your tax dollars to subsidize upscale new development
Causes skyrocketing land prices & higher taxes
Eliminates open space
Disregards the environment
Stresses infrastructure and the limits of town services
Exhausts community resources like water and energy
Violates Massachusetts' Sustainable Development Principles
Burdens municipalities as an unfunded state mandate

40B is nothing more than a tool being used by developers to extract huge profits at the expense of our communities. Don't believe the RE industry and State spin-meisters who want to protect this corrupt program. Google Repeal 40B and join us in this fall's initiative petition to stop the abuse!
