hmm... I was looking at this link (WaMu Free Checking, Free Checking from Washington Mutual)
and it says 'Free ATM cash withdrawals worldwide' but with a footnote. The footnote says 'WaMu will not charge ATM fees for cash withdrawals, but non-refundable ATM operator fees and foreign currency exchange and transaction fees may apply.' I guess maybe I'm just not sure on the language; does ATM operator fee just mean checking balances or does that include withdrawals. If that means I can withdrawal for free no matter what ATM that's all I care about, I can check my balance online when I need to. Maybe I just misunderstood the guy on the phone. I've used Wachovia since I opened my first bank account and since there's one on pretty much every corner here in VA I've never had to worry about it. If you could clarify that would be great or I could just call again to make sure. Thanks for your help.

A Yellow jacket huh? We got another Thurs night game this year, should be fun. And I hear ya on the UGA thing since we lost so embarrassingly to them in the Peach Bowl although I guess us choking isn't really their fault. Oh well, looking forward to football season that's for sure. I don't have any questions about Newton at the moment but may take you up on that offer in the future if anything comes up. Thanks.

Yup, you got the language right. ATM operator fees just refer to anything that's not a cash withdrawal.
