Thanks CoastalMaine...my husband and I are both from Maine...is there a town there that you would say compares to Sterling? We love the idea of rural and yet being very close to amenities at the same time. We lived in New Gloucester, ME for 6 years...rural and yet close to Portland, Freeport, Auburn...
Sterling is an awesome, quiet town. I don't know about the quality of schools. Most houses have minn. 1/2 acre lot (due to septic). Town has easy access to Worcester and Leominster for shopping, dining, gyms, etc. You can be in downtown Worcester in 15 min. via hwy.
