I would tend to stay clear of Home Depot. I think I recently heard on the news that they use independent contractors to do installations and other types of work, and as a result, a number of customers have complained that Home Depot did not stand behind the work/jobs done. I believe it was on channel 5's "buyer beware." I've also heard that they are way over priced.

Yes- actually I saw that report on TV. Good call- I forgot all about that.

So far iFloor in Seekonk seems the most reputable and affordable. Haven't heard from anyone that has used them however...

This is total ballpark, but I want to say it was approximately 500 sq. ft.

Avoid Empire and Home Depot like the plague! My vote is wood floors from Lumber Luquidators. But I'm not a fan of carpet due to environmental allergies.

I've heard good things about their prices, but they don't install; correct?

we will be having carpet installed as a first project in July. Still looking for a good retailer near Ashland. We have found some decent deals, but lack that one-stop store. So many places don't install- but offer deep discounts, and then some install, but have crazy high prices.

Any carpet store recommendations that have trusted installers with a guarantee?
