Peggy Sue's in Kehei. Little shop 50's & 60's midwest Maltshop feeling. Great Burgers and Malts. Retro music from Jukebox. Very reasonable prices for area.
We're not locals and we only stayed at the Marriot for a few days but if I had to go back I would visit:
The hotel breakfast area for their French Toast w/ Macadamia nut butter (we had this multiple times). The dinner for us was kind of meh.
Roys, if you don't have a local one available.
I might skip over Longhi's because the price was so high. We had shrimp which was amazing but came in at about $40 or so per plate...
Shaved Ice from S&Q (drool).
Also please know that I am VERY jealous. I feel extremely lucky to have been able to visit and can't wait to go back in a few years once the pocket book recovers. Please enjoy heartily for us!
Completely forgot about Kihei Caffe....love the pancakes and the breakfast burritos. They only accept cash, FYI. Killer cinnamon rolls too. Only open for breakfast and lunch...good and quick service too.

wish I could agree because it's close to our place, but in our experience, they're hit and miss. We don't go there anymore as the misses were more and more frequent.

Darn that's a shame....to be honest I've only been there 6 times, all have been good. Hopefully things will improve, I love eating a big breakfast.
