That's true, a BA in Sociology doesn't mean much, maybe a Walmart job. But you said that you've been self employed before, so maybe there is a lot of opportunities for you to make money on Maui. There are fairly large developments on Maui which have a "Butterfly" on their development signs. Inside these developments are some very expensive housing. Many of the people in those developments could be your customers. There may be many older people who would pay you to do their shopping for them, since it may be difficult for them to get around by themselves if they have limited mobility. You might also be able to clean their homes and do other chores for them.

If your business takes off, then in the future, you would hire people to take over your jobs helping people with chores. You then could sit back and manage your team of workers, making money off of your team.

Great idea. Owning a business does have it's positives, but also its negatives. Marketing comes to mind.
