Howzit.

Can anyone tell me if $9000 is a rip off for a 600ft2 (42x14) slab of concrete? It's on a flat area, with almost no prep work.
I have 2 estimates so far, both in that range. Yes, I know this aint the mainland, and I'm not from the mainland even. But that sound a bit too much. Getting 2 more quotes later this week, but might take time off a work and DIY it if the labor cost is that much.

Any input appreciated, cheers

How many cubic yards is that? Isn't it around $175 per cubic yard for concrete? That's just for the concrete in the trucks, it doesn't include the forms or the rebar or the 6" x 6" welded wire mesh or the moisture proofing or the base coarse or the termite proofing or any Simpson footings required for the posts, etc.

Too bad you're on Maui, otherwise we could use your concrete guy. Word of mouth usually finds better deals than those advertised.
