Me and my boyfriend are planning on moving to maui, hawaii as soon as possible. I was wondering if theres anyone out there who can help us make this possible. we are really set on moving there hes visited there 19 time i myself have never been there. but you only live once so i mine as well seize the oppurtunity to move there if at all possible. i would apperciate any helpful feed back! thanks!

its a fantastic place to be. i moved out here four years ago, and love it. try craigs list for places to live. dont bring much with you...it is pretty easy to come across what you need out here. any specific questions?

My advice - be prepared to work to earn enough to live here. You may need less because the whole place is relaxing, so you don't need to spend money on entertainment or get aways. I find people just don't eat out here as much as they do in California. Partly because of the cost, but also because it is more of a be-at-home kind of place. In California everyone seemed to want to go out to eat after work. Here that happens, but also more people will just visit you at home instead.

Not as many careers on Maui. For example office jobs are a fewer because there aren't as many offices/corporations. Lots of service jobs.

Figure out where on the island you want to live, then try to find a job close by. Save gas and time that way.

Gas, rice, cigarettes, etc.
