Anyone know what the best deal (cheapest!) on internet companies is? I just need it for watching movies, general stuff, may hook up to TV to try & avoid cable bill also. In the Kihei area, so many to choose from in the yellow pages looks like so any suggestions would be great - Thx.

I've had Hawaiian Telcom for the whole 2 years I've been living here. No problems with them. I think there have only been 2 outages

Thx Wink, sorry to hear you left the area, hope all is going well for you in Texas, we lived in Houston years ago & going to Galveston every weekend made it all bearable, check out Stewarts Beach, he had the best 'chairs & umbrellas area' there!

So I went with Oceanic for my net connection. They change my ip number frequently, as they should - but I get numbers from Los Angeles, etc sometimes.

ip numbers from LA? Dunno, the main trunk goes there instead of Oahu a lot of times. Sometimes the ping goes from la, and back to Oahu.
