The new Mazda 6 was just revealed and it looks great. This is what the unattractive current model should have looked like. This along with the CX-5 is signalling that Mazdas overly amused bumper design is finally going away. The next Speed3 should be a real looker.

The front grill looks a lot like the Mercedes C class.

I like the current 6 styling. It has the prominent front fender look originally introduced by the RX8 and ii doesn't have the 3's smile. But I agree the new one is good looking. I am most interested to see what the engines are for the US market. Sounds like no V6. I was hoping Mazda had another interesting engine for us like the Miller cycle SC engine from the Millenia S.

I don't think there will be a V6. From current trends it seems that every forward thinking automanufacturer has been replacing their I6/V6's with turbo fours and V8's with turbo 6's for improved fuel mileage. No turbo has been announced for the Mazda 6 yet but I am all for turbo powertrains from an auto enthusiast perspective. It doesn't take much money to make significantly more power.

It's a good looking design, I much prefer it over the current styling. Interested to see what engines we will get here besides the "Skyactiv" one.

A RWD Mazdaspeed 6 and I'd be in for sure.

It looks great though.

Perhaps the engine from the MazdaSpeed3? Just don't call that a MazdaSpeed6. See if they can upgrade their 2.5L or their existing V6 to turbo power and add all wheel drive and call that the MazdaSpeed6

Very nice looking body but I am very disappointed with the powerplant options. No turbo 4cyl and no v6 option.

2.0 148hp/155lb-ft tq

Or

2.5 189hp/189lb-ft tq.

These are economy car power specs.
