Good. Vaccination is the fast track ticket out of recurring rounds of infection and all the pain and economic dislocation that they bring. What is the point of having a "mandate" if they just look they other way when employees disregard it. They are entirely within their rights. I hope (and am certain) we will see more of this - not firing people but mandated and enforced workplace vaccination. United Airlines joined the club today requiring them for almost everyone.

I think that this is a great move for CNN. This pandemic is the greatest threat to our health and economy in generations. Having the courage to take a stand like this is to their credit. Hopefully other companies will follow.

Is it that the report is unreliable or that CNN may have fired unvaccinated employees?

Per all of the reports I’ve seen, there’s no “supposedly” about it. The workers did not follow company requirements for returning to the office and were let go.
They made a choice to not fulfill the terms of their continued employment.
Should CNN, or any employer for that matter, just ignore such breaches?

Maybe news of it will hasten some reluctant person to do their part and get vaccinated knowing the carrot is being replaced by the stick in corporate America. As for the thread, this forum is, of course, is about sounding off on all manner of injustices real or imagined. To some, this firing is an affront too grievous to simply ignore.
