Tomorrow at 1600 one of my oldest friends is getting married. I've known her my since she was born when I was 5 months old. She and her groom have been dating for 10 years, since we were all in high school.
It is exciting for me to think that she is finally getting married. She is excited, and it is awesome that the Lord has allowed me to be here for all the festivities. She and I have celebrated so much together.
I know that I was stressing about the trip out here,...

It seems to me that we humans spend a LOT of time waiting. We wait in lines at stores, the gas station, for something to begin on television, and we wait for people to show up.
Right now I am in the last category. I am waiting for my SO to return home after being gone for awhile (just a week). It has only been since Sunday that I last saw and talked with him, but it seems like longer.
Yet, I think about the last BF's I have had. M is the first guy that I have ever been...

My hometown is in Wyoming and next week I'll be flying back to see my parents, grandma, nephew and attend a wedding.
The girl getting married is a woman that I've known her whole life, since I was 5 months old. I tend to call her best friend, but the reality is that she isn't. Maybe back when we were young we were closer, and we have ALWAYS been competitive with each other.
This is not to say that she isn't important to me, she is. I love her and hope that we are always...

On Saturday night I saw Star Trek with two other Trekkie fans. It was a fun evening in a nice cinema, so the amibiance was nice, and that is part of the movie going experience.
I don't want to spoil the movie for any other Trekkies out there that have yet to see the movie, so I will stick to generalities.
As many of us know before seeing the movie, a lot of Star Trek history has been changed. And even though they are going back in time to when Kirk, Spock, Bones and Scottie...

Congrats to me!
I've officially graduated from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling. I am one step closer to my ultimate goal of my doctorate in PACO with the focus on military counseling! How exciting is this??? I'm tired, but excited to begin the next step of the journey.
Yet I also wonder, am I really ready for this? Am I capable of doing everything that needs to be done to fulfill the requirements of a PhD? I'm not talking about the academics,...
