Have a fun (and safe) "Mental Health road trip"

It sounds to me like Payson, Pine/Strawberry or even a little further up toward Show Low would be perfect for you. I lived in Payson for 14 years, saw it grow from 5,000 to about 12,000 but loved it there. I liked Prescott too but it's much larger. Living between the two is pretty perfect for me!

Far west AZ is waaay too hot for me. I like going there in winter though.

I must have pine trees. So it's half-way planned - it'll be the White Mountains or Rim Country. I made a 10 day run-through last October. Crossed some towns off the look/see list, but ended up adding some, LOL. I like the little towns best.

My sister lives in Parker (I spend as much time as I can there), so I can use her place as a base while I make up my mind. Can't WAIT to retire and start the adventure. "When" also depends on my Mom, since I'm the (only one who's local) caretaker kid.

It's my favorite state too! But then I'm biased...I was born here. lol Where do you think you'd like to live in AZ? Or have you got that planned too?
