Hi, I am writing you because I am interested in moving to Portland... I am interested in moving this month (tentatively). I am currently living in Philadelphia and am not in the best situation. I am living with an ex and it's very difficult.

To say the least, I have never been to Oregon, let alone a city as large as Portland! Philadelphia is the largest city I've been in (I'm a small town girl) and it's insanely overwhelming.

I am wondering if you would be willing to help me out with questions I might have about Portland? I'm also wondering if by chance you would consider couch surfers?

Can you also tell me if you or any of your friends are familiar with Alanon meetings? I wonder also if there's a group for people who just moved to Portland? I am going to checkout meetup.com

Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you.

PS- An even better way to reach me is yahoo messenger. My screen name on there is Not2bforgot10

Below are the Top small “bicycle” friendly cities.

    Link: http://www.bikeleague.org/programs/b...r_list_web.pdf

I am writing because I am curious to hear people’s feedback on these cities. I am particularly interested in hearing which cities out of these cities would compare to Burlington, VT and then Asheville, NC. In other words, which cities are vibrant, liberal, progressive, beautiful, and have character and maybe history.

    Boulder, CO
    Fort Collins, CO
    Longmont, CO

    David, CA
    Folsom, CA
    Santa Barbara, CA
    Santa Cruz, CA
    Mountain View, CA
    Santa Monica, CA
    Brentwood, CA
    Chico, CA

    Portland, OR
    Corvallis, OR
    Eugene, OR
    Bend, OR
    Albany, OR
    Beavertown, OR

    Bellingham, WA
    Olympia, WA
    Redmond, WA

    Greenville, SC
    Burlington, VT

    Thanks!

Thanks Backdrifter. That pic was taken at 8th and Pike at the convention center. The Toyota was turning left towards Pine and the Honda was make a right east on Pike.

Holy cow! -- I'm your first! ... messager, that is.
Medford, lovely Medford, I remember her well. Meandering south on and around I-5 one Spring, I encountered Wolf Creek, and I knew I was finally in the west... the area is delicious, isn't it? What a stunning, glorious karmic collection of alliances and perhaps dalliances you became part of...
Thanks for the "friends" whatsit. Back atcha.
