Hi there! I just got your note! I haven't been on in quite a while! It's great to hear from you, and I'm so glad you had such a good trip to Maine. And I would love to meet face to face one of these days, so if you ever get to WYOMING look me up! We moved to Montana in November of 2013, and in a week and a half we'll be settled in Wyoming. I'm loving it! We'd talked about moving before, just because there's a lot we'd never have time to visit and explore. Now we're here and can take our time. Stay in touch and take good care!

Hey Bob, could you recommend me a good company to sell my timber to? I have an acre with many mature pines. Appreciate all your extensive knowledge !

Will be in Toledo Town in August. I am considering buying a modest place on a a great lot near the Pendleton Bridge as a place to hang my hat when I visit instead of paying rental. I will keep the land on the north end of the lake for future development. Hope to retire in less that 3 years. This bad stock market has deferred my plans a bit. Kurt.

Howdy, BobTex. I am off to Toledo Bend on May 24 and will be in Toledo Town area until June 11. My cell is 850-380-0636. Let me know if you are in the area. I may go down and visit the south end of the lake. No state income tax on the Texas side! I am planning a trip up to Camden, Arkansas, where a guy wants to discuss timberland investment. I have had no luck getting anyone to part with land--even without mineral rights--in Northwest Louisiana. They all say that even if I bought only the surface rights it could gum up the works if someone wanted to put in a well, pipeline, or pumping station. Up in Arkansas they are willing to discuss a sale. Timberland is cheaper now with the recession. With the coming Great Inflation, I am looking to invest in a tangible thing like land and timber. God Bless, Kurt.
