Ohhhh, Veggie Corner is the name of that place. Very nice fresh produce and a nice meat counter too. The pastry... ya I know... they used to make a raspberry turnover that I thought I needed to have everyday. Not so much...gained more than a few unwelcomed pounds til I got over it. Homemade breads too... yummy stuff! The owner used to own a little mrkt on Union St in Brunswick, it was called Tetreaults. One of the best little butcher shops in town back in the day.

Annnywayy- I'm so sorry to hear that you've got to move again. I do hope that you can stay in Maine as well. How soon before you'll know where? I'll be thinking good thoughts for you guys... just remember home is where you want it to be, no matter where you live.

Yes, we got down to Harpswell twice last weekend -- found a *fabulous* cafe at the corner of 128/Mountain Road too. Not only fresh meals but pastry!!! Doesn't get any better than that. Did drive-bys on half a dozen places at least, and a few looked promising if the prices came down a bit in the next few months. As my dad used to say, champagne taste, beer pocketbook

Unfortunately...really sad for me....on Monday we found out that a change in my DH's job is forcing us to move again. I'm really bumming. Just as we were ready to put down roots again! *sigh* We don't know the new location yet, but I'm so hoping it will be somewhere in Maine. Praying it will be central Maine; there's a possibiliity. Took me all this time to move back home and pow, another curveball. Rats....! With luck, it'll be all good and things'll work out. Thanks so much for asking!
