    Hi Brenda,

I realize that I was reading an older thread, however I couldn't help but notice your weather knowledge. My wife and I will be in Newport and LC next week looking for a place to rent before we purchase a home. Question; do you (or anyone else reading) know of any sun-belts in the area or towns with more average sunshine?

We're leaving California because it's become far too expensive and over-crowded. After living here for so long and experiencing the many microclimates here in the Bay Area, we thought we might find some similarities there. We've been coming there on short breaks for a while, but haven't been able to learn the patterns yet. I have a job offer leading me to the coastline in Newport, but I'm willing to live up to fourty miles away if need be for a higher percentage of Sunshine (Winter and Summer)

    Anyhow, thank you for sharing!
