Well, 2008 is come & gone now, with all its drama and uncertainty, and 2009 comes in bearing all the same trademarks...
When we first moved here last May, the whole area seemed to be full of live and vitality, and I've noticed a more negative attitude start to permeate through peoples' outward appearances lately. I hope that we can nip this in the bud and get back to actively promoting our city as a great place to live which, after all, it really is!!

[SIZE=5]So, Thanksgiving 2008 is upon us, and what better a time for me to reflect on all the things I really have to be thankful FOR..... especially, after my recent near-death experience . . . . . . [/SIZE]

I get it!--I see why Burghers love the Saturday tradition of going to the Strip and doing their shopping!!!
We went down there today to stop in at Penzey's for some decent spices... and of course, we were not disappointed... but then, we also wound up enjoying a leisurely stroll through Penn Macaroni, where we were able to save about $5 on fresh olive oil, freshly pumped into my own bottle... then, into Fortune's Coffee Shop for a few pounds of Highlander grogg, ground Turkish.......
