Thanks Jill! Your replies have been helpful during this research period. I am getting so anxious at this point, with the kids and xmas and the move. I will add Peoria to the list and troll around the web to see what I can find out. My daughter and I watched a tennis show that featured Scottsdale. It is certainly beautiful but I had crossed it off based on price point and alot of feedback regarding the type of people there..folks make it seem so "Real Housewives of Orange County-ish"(not sure if you watch that...but I'll admit to the guilty pleasure..lol). I have to do this on a shoe string then pull myself up from there, which I'm confident I can do and that means I can't start too big. (although I won't pretend not to be a lil nervous, but not in a bad way). Thanks for your friendliness and all the good posts! LaTonya

You will love AZ. It is intense during the summers last two months, but well worth the wait for winter. We used to stay in Scottsdale on our many trips back and forth and would use that as our starting point to explore the different areas. Of course we loved Scottsdale, but it was a little too expensive at the time for our budget. Here in Vistancia, north Peoria we have homes for $130,000's and up. We have been the number one master planned community two or three times now. Peoria is a beautiful city, please check it out before you settle. The rents are way down as well. We have a little rental in Surprise and that is also a nice city. You can find rentals for under $1,000 in safe neighborhoods right now. Thanks for the frienship request, I appreciate it.
