    Hey CrowGirl,

I saw you posted to the Australian guy looking to move to Tampa that you had used a realtor who lined up a marathon of showings for you. I am moving to Tampa and will have a very limited amount of time to pick a place, so I was wondering if you could share your realtor's name?

I am moving to Tampa to get a PhD. at USF, and I am on a tight budget, but don't want to end up in a bad part of town fearing for my life. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The realtors I have contacted have all been pretty lackluster and slow on getting back to me. Thanks a ton!

Crowgirl, I cant rep you again so I thought I would tell you here, your 2nd B&W pic in assignment 40..... WOW what a great shot ! Compositon to subject are perfect for me. You really had a great eye for that shot and what a great location too. Excellent job ! And yes a CD photo field trip would be super cool. Col D. and myself have been out twice now and was really a nice time. We have been talking about a photo shoot at Busch Gardens in Tampa, your neck of the woods I think. We will see if we can get that planned if you would like to come along we would love to have you join us.

Black Point has everything.. A good 400 mm with a tripod is essential.. The Scrub Jay Habitat you have to travel in knee high grass about 1/2 mile to get good photo's.. great place for rattlesnakes and gators..

The birds start coming in mid Sept ... early Oct. gone by early mid March Canaveral National Seashore, Titusville, Florida Click on blue pin maker
If not familiar with the area starting point is Titusville.. then east off US 1 heading towards the Space Center..Garden Street (406) only. There will be a large sign for Black Point.. once you travel the route in Black Point you can head back to Titusville or head East... National Seashore is south and Scrub Jay Habitat is North... signs mark the Scrub Jay area.. further North on SR3 you will cross a bridge.. manatee ~ pelicans. This winter ( Dec - Jan ) they closed off the Manatee access road.
Warning ! If you go too the National Sea Shore.. the gate a fee of $5-$7 for a vehicle.. then head North about 8 miles.. numerous beach access "NO Fresh Water" " NO Real Bathrooms" just fancy concrete out house. Area 13-14 don't blush it's a Nude Beach... That's the end of the road...

LOL... I work at the Space Center. Black Point is one of my great places for birds when they are here.. also SR3 North of the Space Center North of Playalinda Beach is Scrub Jay Hammock & the barge canal.. Not knowing if your familiar with this or not.. it comes out on US 1 just south of Oak Hill..

Thanks for the comment on the spider... Shooting directly into a blank sky and the spider was waving in the wind on his web.. Just could not get it correct.. 20+ shots. That one is the only one that came close...

Nice dragonfly photo! There have been so many this year, and they all keep landing on my hands and fingers. Good thing they don't bite, lol.

The little bird by some small rocks (gravel)? I was told that it was a male Oregon Junco. I don't really know much about birds, and had to ask at another forum.

    Glad you like it.

I ended up getting sick and had to cancel. I think we are going to try again in 2 weeks. I would really love to do a CD photographer field trip, I wonder if anyone would want to go do a get together for the afternoon somewhere cool.... There are alot more of us from Tampa to Sarasota than I thought. And Tinman is on the east coast. Great effort on the assignments too btw, if you have anything you would like to try for an assignment lets hear it. I think they are fun, but wish more participated in them. Hopefully more will start posting as we go on
