Hey Kent. Nice to hear from you. Things are going fine. Made a trip to Killeen last August to visit friends. Awfully dry around here. Likely a firey summer. Take care.

    Kent,
Just stoppin' by to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and the happiest of New Year's!

Have you folks received any significant precip to fill up the reservoirs? I know its been dry. We flew thru there (DFW) in September.

    Hey Kent,
Nice to hear from you. Glad the fires didn't affect you. So far we've had a pretty mild summer-for Northern CA standards anyway. Temps only surpassed 105 a few times-and September's on it's way! So far, no significant fires out here. Likely due to the wet spring we had.
Other than our trip back to CO in April, we've not traveled much. Did take a quick trip to Yosemite at the end of June, but just a couple of days. Preparing for a week-long trip to DC next month. Really looking forward to it. Wife's never been there. I haven't been since 1976 (military)-probably changed a bit since then-maybe the busfare is a nickel more...

As for the political stuff, I've been insulted a time or two on this forum as well. Kind of makes you gun-shy about posting, huh? Hey, if you're at all interested, I'd be happy to have you as a friend on facebook. Seems to be a friendlier forum since you can screen your audience.

    Take care Kent.

    Kent,
That's right-I knew that-sorry! Hope the Ohio inference didn't offend...
Yeah, got my chores done, watched some baseball, downed some good Pale Ales. My team, SF Giants are coming on strong right now-great pitching. We'll see how it all turns out in a few days!

Nice to hear from you as well.

    Hey Kent,
Things are about the same around here. We've had a mild summer by Northern CA standards anyway. But fall is definitely in the air. In fact, a storm's moving in over the weekend. Humidity's up-that's unusual around here.

I assume when you speak of Cleveland you're referring to the one on the shore of Lake Erie-which of course is a good distance from the Lone Star state.

Wife's headed out of town tomorrow for an overnighter at her Mother's-90 miles up I-5 in Mt. Shasta. So, I've got a free day to do what I chose! Oh, except for the honeydo's that she expects me to complete... I picture a cold beer or two and watching a baseball game on the tube tomorrow.

Have a friend who recently retired that moved back to your country. Actually Gatesville-down near Ft. Hood actually. He called the other day-guess you folks have had some serious rain as of late, huh?

Well Kent, take care of yourself. Election day's coming up. Vote early and vote often!
