Pure insanity! But it's funny that people hear about an area & then avoid it like the plague when they aren't even that bad to begin with. If EN, Madison & Antioch are the worst that Nashville has to offer up then we're doing pretty darn good!

The thread about Madison made me laugh because you know how people like to make blanket statements & generalize entire areas. Well I lived there for about a year & I went on a job interview & the doctor said (insert best Indian accent here) "yes, I see you live in Madison, do you do drugs" lol And you really would have to know me because I'm always really put together & professional & don't even look close to being an addict but because I lived in Madison he was concerned, that's so funny

Very cool article, I appreciate the link! As a person that really likes to eat, I love that there are so many great options out there in Nashville now. The EN listserv was abuzz today about the owners of the Holland House opening a Burger Bar/IceHouse in the neighborhood. I'm glad they weren't scared out of the neighborhood by the robbery!

This is random, but I just saw your post that says you like French Onion soup a lot. I like it a lot too & I just wanted to give you a heads up that the Nashville West Costco & Aldi on Gallatin Rd. sell a really good frozen french onion soup. It's the same brand at both stores, it comes in a box with a picture of french onion soup on the outside. I really like it, I just add more cheese & it's delicious. It comes in single serving portions & has the bread & cheese in it already

I am hopeful that those guys are it, but we shall see...keep me posted if you hear anything substantive & I'll do the same. Something will probably come across the EN Crime Listserv when they know for sure

Huge goof on their part! It's the difference between a really popular, crowded place like 5 Points & an isolated restaurant. Hopefully it won't hurt businesses too terribly bad.

They accidentally published that the PP Creamery was robbed, but I e-mailed them & they have now corrected it, it was actually her brother's place, the PP Eatery in Inglewood that was robbed & fortunately it was after business hours. I hate that they published it wrong bc the Creamery is a place popular with children. I hope it doesn't hurt her business!

Hey, Happy New Year! It's funny that you left me a message about the HH getting robbed. I know you hangout down here & I actually typed you a direct message about it, in case you hadn't heard, but I ended up deleting it bc I didn't want to come across as fear mongering! What bothers me about what happened is that the restaurant was full, people that are going into a restaurant to force 40 people on the ground are ruthless & that's pretty crazy!

Knock on wood, I haven't had any problems over here & really feel comfortable
