LOL @ p88. Evidently you posted something that got deleted, I wish I could've read it before it did. : )

Really man? You weren't gagging over the love fest Truly MO and kcmo were having? We agree on a lot, you and I, and I even agree with kcmo on a lot as well. I just felt it was a perfect time for those two to get a room. The last thing we need is for those two, who are some of the biggest off topic and negative types on this message board, to start getting cranked up about how right they are. That's why I posted it. In the end I'm ok with you erasing it, but maybe we can close up about half the posts that get way off topic while we're at it. For what it's worth, since I know it's hard to read tone on a computer, this is written in civil and friendly tone. I'm not being a jerk I promise.

Was gonna say I was envious of your climate. It gets hot here and stays hot for a long time.

Which side of Madison did you land on when you moved? We travelled up there this week, and even though it was pouring down rain, we didn't find anything in Cottage Grove, Middleton, or the south surrounding areas. Any suggestions? We really fell in love with Devils lake/Baraboo area and its rural appeal, but we want to stay where we can have access to jobs.

Care to cite which term my post violated? You claim the reason was " inflamatory thead, against TOS" Yet I see nothing in the TOS which backs this up (I read it before posting to ensure I was not breaking any policy). The post was the "Mort for mayor interview." posted in the omaha forum.

Perhaps next time message the person and post the part of the TOS they violated. Otherwise they could easily cross the line again due to the vagueness of the deletion.

Do you really need to make negative comments in every thread where someone says something positive about Kansas? Good grief... give it a rest.

This is an update-
I have not had a very pleasant last few years in my personal life as I've tried to advance in my career within the Geographic Information Systems sector. I am frustrated at this point because I have literally had to move across the country several times to get more specialized experience within various aspects of the industry, but it has not led to better opportunities. Due to rapid technological advances and the ability to automate so many advanced functions, long-term...

Anyone follow the weather in the Boone, NC area? I have always thought that the area has such a unique climate due to the elevation and local weather patterns there. My parents are retired and considering moving to the area due to the mild climate, good healthcare nearby, and the outdoor recreation trails everywhere.

I'm not holding my breath for too much snowfall in the North Carolina high country this winter, though.

I am looking for a new position in the Geographic Information Systems career field. It is quite the difficult field to get into at the entry level- even with a solid amount of experience. I am getting a certification to improve my odds, but the entire field just seems so insular to me regardless of the professional networks that exist. Frustrating!

In a time long ago in the past I made my first trip to the south. This was not the deep south, but to eastern Tennessee. I am not sure what I expected but many things surprised me. One thing that struck me was that neighbors seemed to care less about broken down cars and junk littering the yards. I think this has to do with the prevailing "live and let live" mentality that is common throughout the Appalachian region.
Another item that amazed me was the landscape. I think I was...

I am looking forward at the moment, and it is just tiring to listen to the constant negativity about the economy. I thing we need to have a two-pronged approach. First, I do agree that we need some of the items in the stimulus, but do we need everything that exists in the package? I think not when China still holds our indebted bonds that are becoming even further wrangled in increased defecits by the day. The developing countries are continuing to gain a greater influence due to the fact that so...
