I find it hard to believe you didn't get through to the operator - if they put you on hold, wait for one to come on. I have never failed to get through. Again if you know his unit, call them (or have the operator connect you).......

thank you so much for replying and trying to help me ,.. appreciate it sooooo much , You are already a big help by just replying and advicing me what to do and so on.. cause I really feel lost now.. I truelly don't know how to explain this, but I will not bother you with my feelings .. you know Bill I tried to call this number but wasn't able to get connected or at least I didn't get through..looked it up on the internet ,not sure if it's the right number to dial..Army community service : 910-396-8682 and the Base operator : 910-396-0011

well .. i don't know whether you can help me out or give me any anwsers, cause it s just that like I told you before as I recall that my fiance is in military too..only the thing is that I havent 't heard from him since 4 weeks and this week he supossed to come over to see me and it's really strange that he didn't even call to say he isn't coming anymore or whatsoever, so I am a bit worried now...even though I haven't heard from him before like once and a while cause of his work, I had no real reason to be concerned and now I heard about the snowstorms in the US and we haven't been connected for such a long time and he always keeps his word .. I truelly don't understand what could have happened cause there's nobody who can inform me if something happens to him , do you have any advice how I can solve this or how I can find out whether something has happened to him.. I am really worried you see.. that's all..

my other culture is more like everybody is welcome anytime to come in, to eat whenever, to be the perfect 'host', family is everything, but also a very strict community, everybody keeps an eye on everybody, so you just make the best out of it, sometimes its quite confusing , especially when you are in your teens, but what I like in the US mostly , or at least the idea I have of the US is being allowed to be yourself and being able to accomplish whatever you want, the perfect example is your president, here we don't really have that, there are a lot of oppertunities but you are more likely to be told that you can't do it than you can.

Almost more than a year ago, this woman I knew from work who lived in the States and Europe back and forward, she is British and told me that she noticed this kind of overexagerated, fake "friendliness",too much involvement, she really had to get used to, even where I am from we are known for our rudeness as well and the "don't-mess-me-with" attitude, being very straight to the point,no talk but hard work mentality, because I am of mixed cultures, I can distinguish several manners and felt always like choosing the ways and values that suited me fine to become a better person for myself and in society..cause no matter how you see it, you are brought up in an enviroment like that,
