I'm going home tonight, flew into Anchorage on Friday and home tonight. I need to go home to get sleep! I drove all over the place here in south central Alaska. Look in the "Valdez" and "Denali Highway" threads for photos. As for the south road trip, don't know yet, most likely in September. I got my rear axle replaced on Friday, just needs new shocks soon before I hit the road.

yeah, if it's not obvious from my picture, I'm sort of a transit dork. I just got really excited reading one of the syllabi (is that spelled right) for one of the classes where they take a field trip to the subway. I mean I ride it every day, but I don't get to know the innerworkings that way.

I'm thinking about going back full time. Welcome to debtville, but I'd like to get it all out of the way, and the guy I talked to today said that one of the recent graduates got a job starting at $60K... I can't even fathom making that much money, haha

ahh it's pretty good. it's just this week getting really hot. I'm sitting inside though trying to figure out if I'm going to go back to school or not. i met with some people about transportation planning, and got the inevitable "but what do you want to do?" question. So I'm trying to figure that out.

Um, no. My family is taking me out to dinner at a very nice restaurant. I'm not into the whole wild, debaucherous partying type thing. Besides, this is a milestone, but it's not the milestone that counts, if ya know what I'm saying...

    I knew you were!
Have you ever watched the TV show Futurama? It's an animated satirical show set 1,000 years in the future. There's this one episode where the head guy is explaining what they are going to do that day, and he says "We're going to the romance capital of the world!" Then in the next frame it shows their ship flying into a big city with a sign that says "Milwaukee- The Most Romantic City in the World!" It's hilarious.

Some parts of it were very pretty, yes. I love the ocean, you know, so that's about all I need to be happy. It was really, really, flat though which tends to give me agoraphobia. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, though, and am looking forward to going back next summer.
