No wonder I can't find it on Google Earth, it blew up!!! Dang!!! There was only one that I knew of but I left and hitch-hiked to Colorado in the spring of 1972. There might have been others. I got married and moved to Colorado in the spring of 1973. I couldn't remember if the headshop was on Richmond or West Alabama. I was married to that woman for 27 years. I then married a woman that I actually knew before I met my previous wife. I had met her in 1971 at the head shop downtown. We've been together for 12 years and married for 4. Life is good again.

The headshop that I managed was downtown. Houston Blacklight and Poster Co. We did have a small shop in the area that you mentioned to me but there were a few others there too. I lived very close to the one you mentioned in the early 70's. Honestly, I couldn't remember exactly where it was. Thanks for reminding me.

That's nice that a company like Southwestern Bell employed people out of high school back then. Nowadays AT&T requires a college education to work in one of their stores selling phones. Sad.

Hey, I enjoyed your message response to my point. Also as a native from St Louis I forgot about Southwestern Bell as it's been years since I've heard that name. I remember that company as a kid, but I knew the Bell companies always had some manager and leadership issues for years.

I joined the rescue railroad on yahoo groups. I live in a retirement area with tons of volunteers, but hopefully, my husband and I can do some transports in the near future. Thanks for the information!
