You make some valid points and I agree that there isn't much difference. I think VTI offers a little extra diversification, but most funds to favor the major stocks. I never invest in anything 100%, but VTI isn't a bad play due to low costs, etc. If your young invest in it and just let it ride.
Trying a little experiment.
Selling all shares of FSRFX and exchanging for FBGRX.
About the same for 5 and 10 year growth.
YTD on Transportation sucks at -6.23% while Blue Chip Growth is +5.95.
Blue chip is also 5 star and Transport is 4.
Not sure that's a big factor, though.
I have a question. How do you download a photo to CD? I tried to copy one of my photos and paste it in the dialog box but it wouldn't take it. Do I first need to upload my photos to a website then copy the URL?
Hi. I saw your post on owning a second home in the country. I live in Hoboken with my husband and two children (a toddler and an infant). We are toying with the idea of getting a second home with a pool in upstate new york, or near delaware. I was wondering what you based your comment that you paid 8-10K in expenses per year. I'd also love any insight on owning a second home. Basically, we are tired of trying to find a large condo to buy in Hoboken and we think that maybe we should just keep our small condo, enjoy the city living and short commutes to work, and just escape on the weekends.
