Hi New daawn; we currently live in Marshfield, I grew up in Hanson which is next to Pembroke. I agree we love Scituate and Cohasset, etc; the problem is the cost of living and affordable real estate for first time home buyers is extremely scarce. I am also looking for a little more land than is available in most areas of MA, especially on the coast. Finding a house on a lot of an acre or more is hard to find these days, even if you do find one, the price and property taxes make the deal unappealing. Finally, although I guess I will forever be a Massachusetts native I am looking to take the pace of my life back a step; even in the towns you mentioned, although they are aesthetically beautiful and true "New England" towns are driven by the fast paced life of the almighty dollar. I'm sure this is true in Maine as well, but it seems like Mass drives at it a lot harder.

Hi Newdaawn. No, I don't have a Maine plate yet. Actually, with the exception of VT, I don't have any from the Northeastern part of the country. If you have a Maine (or anything else), I'd gladly take it! I can reimburse you for postage, of course.

I would love to be able to see you at the lunch meetup though I realize that Eastport is a bit of a drive. Here's to hoping.

    Good MOrning..
(~ I love the boot picture) I've been there myself.
We haven't had a luncheon in a long time. I want to kick myself for letting it go on this long.

With the weather being yuck.. it should of been alot easier to see each other.

I love the boot, lol. Maybe I can talk my DH into Maine next summer or the summer after. I can't wait to visit your beautiful state.

Yes we do take advantage of our solar panels. We live Off Grid and have been for a year. I love not paying the elctric company. If you want to see our story you can read about it and see lots of pictures on my thread:
