It's funny we are both in Philadelphia and you described in one of your posts looking for the same exact thing as I am:

    1- close to the Oceans
    2- low crime rate
3- More liberal than Minnesota (good community or social programs and a sense of shared future or shared community)
4- Nice people, more friendly. not fake but nice (I know I know we can't generalize but it doesn't hurt to add this to the list)
5- mostly Democratic representation (few or no Republicans elected into office)
6- scenic (available hiking and state parks close by or in city)
7- plenty of trees and parks and trails within city limits
8- Not a desert region (no cactus but cedar tress plz)
9- Not colder than 0F in winters (no -20 windchill plz)
10- A good public transportation system + pedestrian friendly

    etc.
Did you by chance obtain a list of cities? I would love to meetup in Philly, as I have not made any friends here and want to move. Maybe meetup for tea?

Hi, I saw your post on selling another board member on Philadelphia. I've had a long list of cities I'm very close to narrowing down. I've been trying to talk to a number of people to get their perspectives about the city, I myself am a 27yr old graphic designer with 10 years working experience... So I'm interested in what the city has to offer job wise, culturally and musicly.

I'm coming from a smaller town (Shreveport, Louisiana) and I'm looking to experience living in a larger city. At the moment on top of saving moving funds, I'm forced to look into a new vehicle. Should I hold off on this, if I'm aiming to live in the Center City area, is the cost of parking a vehicle (much less two) going to kill younger residence financially or even finding a place?)

Also is there an area of town musicians are prone to live and practice in any more than others?

Any help you could provide would be awesome!

    - Matt
