It's difficult being away from family when medical issues are at hand. I had more long distance medical problems with my parents in years past then I want to count. However I always stayed in touch with the phone and mailing letters or cards to them; They are gone now, and I'm so happy that I did.

Good thing you got back from the NY area with those twisters & storms blowing everything away. So now you're in FL waiting for the hurricanes to hit the state. lol is the bad weather following you?

LOL,,,, Mrs Aks and I went shopping this afternoon and bought another four pounds of coffee on sale. Normal price per pound was $8.99 for organic Colombian coffee that we like so much. With the sale priced at $5.99 it was a no brainier,,,, $3 off is a good savings. I'd save more if I quit drinking the stuff.,,,,, lol but life is too short. "enjoy it while you can"

Drive back safely and adding those extra stops to the trip helps a great deal. I can't drive more then 2hr without stopping for a break.
