Hello Norm, my friend. I can only imagine that she and you are quite nervous. Oh no, why does her family seem to reconsider and want you to hold off on making arrangements? Did they give you a reason why? I am so sorry to hear that. Is it perhaps that she is just too afraid at the moment?

Again, I am not aware of your traditions...but perhaps you and your family could sit down with she and her family to discuss what their concerns may be. Could it be that they just want their daughter to be happy and know that she is marrying a kind, gentle, caring man. Is there anyway that you and Tehsin could speak in person or on the phone to get to know each other a little better....that will help you both feel more at ease.

I am so sorry to hear this news, my friend. I will pray for you and that it gets resolved in a quickly manner...that you and Tehsin will have your wedding!!! Hang in there.... "Good things comes to those who wait"....try not to loose faith that everything will turn out.

That would be wonderful...uploading pictures for me to see. I know that I will most definitely like it, especially with it having song and dance (2 of my favorite things) and colorful is another of my favorite things. It sounds like a grand event, indeed!!! Oscar is grateful for his new life...it shows in the love & affection that he provides me with.

Labs are great dogs!! I am so sorry to hear about Bruno passing away and at such a young age. I'm sure you do really miss him. When you truly allow an animal into your life...they do become like family. From my own experiences, I know how hard it is to loose loved ones....

My friend...I'm sorry to say that we are all destined for heartache throughout our lives as those we love go to a better place.....Heaven. And, I ask you this: Is it not better to love and be loved...then to have never been loved AT ALL??? Just think about a scale with weights....you allow yourself to love a pet, person, etc. The love that you will receive will FAR outweigh the heartaches. (Unless, however, it's someone like you ex-fiance.....where perhaps she gave more heartache then love)

Thank you...my pet's name is "Oscar". He was abandoned when he was only 3 weeks old at a shelter down in Tennessee. Found him on "pefinder.com" and fell in love with him...flew from here to TN to adopt him. He's very intelligent and lovable.

I find you as a mature, sensitive, kind person with a great big heart. And you are correct...there is a child inside each of us. Just some folks, like you and I, allow our excitement to shine through...just like a child. Everything is exciting and new..Don't ever loose that...for many people, as they grow up - they tend to forget what it was like to be a kid. They loose the joy for life...become bitter, etc. It's a GREAT big world out there filled with endless possibilities!!!

For what good is it living....if you don't enjoy the process.
