Hi, I read your reply to an old post - a single professional seeking a Boston suburb - and I was wondering if you might comment on my relo search? I'm seeking a suburb/town that has some liveliness, historic charm and vibrancy (arts, culture, a couple good cafes and coffee shops, walkable town center). I would like to live in a small older house (pre-1940s) that has a decent sized yard for my dogs and my garden. I visited Wellesley and it was beautiful and had old houses and lots of shops, but felt a little too polished (lots of chain stores) and a bit too family-focused; I would like a mix of families and some single professionals. I'm wondering if Natick might be a good option? I am willing to commute 45 minutes by car or train. I looked at Winchester and Lexington and they also felt a little too sleepy. I looked at Waltham and it didn't have much charm. Wondering if I should consider Beverly? Natick? Thanks!

What's up? I'm signing off soon and I'm flushing the "friends list." I enjoyed reading your posts though, later. (you should probably delete this post though)

Hey, Molly. Good to hear from you again. Can't say that I like the way the season has gone so far, and I didn't care for the staggered start that had the Sox starting a day after MFY, so they were already a half game behind before playing their first game. Still, there's always something special about the start of a new baseball season. We can always hope that the difficulties so far are just a few off-season kinks they still have to work out. Anyway, thanks again for the greeting.
