Picture El Rancho de las Golondrinas
Last weekend we went to El Rancho de las Golondrinas which is between Santa Fe and Alburquerque. The web site says "Las Golondrinas is 15 minutes south of the Santa Fe Plaza and 45 minutes north of Albuquerque" I did not measure the distance and we made a few quick stops from Rio Rancho, it's a short drive...

For this day they had a Horse show featuring the Peruvian Pasos from La Estancia Alegre and later that afternoon another horse Carousel of Horses including a Lipizzaner, Arab, Pure Spanish and other. There were other events such as a tin stamping workshop. We walked a lot. Their web site is extensive, study the large PDF map to get a layout of the area. El Rancho de las Golondrinas - a Spanish Colonial Living History Museum in Santa Fe It is $8.00 per adult, there are some discounts like $50.00 per year for families. We plan on going back at least twice this year. The pavilion, has food. You can get a can of soda, a large plastic cup full of ice for a buck. Had I know that, and studied the map, I probably would have gone to get cokes two other times. Plenty of shade and benches everywhere, but still hot.

I will put larger copies of these images in my album.
