Power Storm

yes I'm exactly the same way. I'm the only one in my family who you would see outside when it's snowing very heavily with lots of wind, or lots of lightning w/ lots of wind, or any type of "good" weather. sunny, calm weather is kinda boring, I think

Exactly right. I love the "bad" weather which is the good weather to me. Storms, tornadoes, cyclones lightning, hail and thunder. Flooding snow etc.... I could go on!

yep, I took that pic, I can't just sit around inside while there is a snow storm going on outside, us "weather" lovers always have to be outside in "bad" weather. even though this is not bad weather to me.....

yes, If you guys had warm fronts, you would get a lot more storms. in GA where I lived, when a warm air mass collided with a cold air mass in winter, we would have an ice storm. If cold air collided with moisture from the sea this is what would happen:

We dont get warm fronts here in Australia, well, very rarely. I have not seen one ever since I have been alive. Sucks really. We would have way more storms and tornadoes if we had them...
I remember my grandpa telling me that the only warm front he has seen sparked severe supercells storms right across Victoria, Australia and where we live...! It also crashed into a colder system...

thanks. yeah it happened in Late December which is quite unsual for Tornadoes since it's the middle of winter here. Anyways, it happened when a cold front crashed with a warm front.....not good when that happens. It was cool, but very scary

It is weird to get storms at this time of the year. When we do, they are very short lived and not dangerous at all. However waterspouts often develop with the Winter storms, not with the Summer...
