    Hi there,
My family is going to be moving to the Asheville area sometime this Spring/Summer. I'm going to be coming out there again to look at houses in May or June, but was wondering if you could tell me if Candler is anything like Asheville. I know it's a smaller town obviously, but if it had the same kind of values, etc. that Asheville has. Thanks so much!!

yo: use bburrlington@yahoo.com . i misspelled it initially. it's ultimately safer this way. i needs to talk with you .... just got off phone w/another bank (have an approval but it's a long story). this is probably a cheaper way to go.

Okay, this is actually good news thanks to the moderators. My other note to you did not display. One day I'll explain it.

Although we use BankofAsh for our accounts, I would not recommend them to use as your mortgage company. They actually broker mortgages out and do not give them to individuals. Trust me, B, we know that (longer, more personal story than I'm willing to expose here).

When you get here, I'll show you what I know about the various banks that we know about and then you'll obviously decide who you want to use.

QoB - Here's where I suggest you go for a mortgage approval. They are a brokerage house. They do charge 1% origination fee but after what we went through with the BofAsh and what I went through with Wells Fargo (which may have been simple discrimination), these guys look divine. They are also responsive.

Hopefully, I'm allowed to give you this information. I'm not sure if I'm breaking one of the rules here. ...

They are Ashford Mortgage Advisors - Home . We used Christine. We were also given Asheville Savings Bank name and we did try BofAsh. Also, we learned that the BankofAsh is just a broker - they would get quotes in from other banks and would not directly lend us the dough. I thought this was weird but it's the truth.
