    Hello,

I was wondering if you could tell me if 28269 is classified as declining market. I came across a post by you where you mentioned about another zip code. I am looking to buy a house in that zip code.

    Thanks,
    Subba

I ALWAYS recommend that you check your FICO score at Score Watch: Free Credit Report and Credit Score Trial Offer at myFICO before speaking to any lender. Most credit reports that everyone pulls is usually not the same type of credit report a lender uses.

you should've disputed with the 3 credit bureaus first! Remember that they're the one that is showing this information to potential 'new' creditors

Hey there....love your posts and all the excellent information you always provide. I have a quick question I was hoping you could answer for me. I have a couple of late payments with 2 credit card companies that occured in 2006 because of a divorce I was going through. I am a subscriber of myfico.com and they suggested that I send goodwill letters directly to the credit card companies. I went ahead and did this and am still waiting on a response. My question to you is this, if the credit card companies deny my request, can I somehow dispute it with experian, equifax and transunion ? I admit being late, but it was due to my divorce...my wife getting cancer, stopped working....left me. Can I dispute something even though I admit it was my fault or is it not worth pursuing with Ex, Eq and TU.

    Thanks
    N

Before applying for a new auto loan, credit card, or mortgage transaction you need to make sure that your credit score is where it needs to be.

There are many places to check your credit online but not all are used by the lenders. Throughout my mortgage experience there had been many borrowers who would bring a mortgage credit report that had credit scores that were WAY different than mine. At first I wondered why the huge discrepancy, then I realized that there's a lot of credit providers...
