I noticed that your last post in CD was back in Sept.of 2012. Hope all is well with you. Are you still in the Bangor area?

Hi - It's been a while since the last meet up. I wonder if anyone is interested in going to one this spring? I was so disappointed that I was sick for that one in Nov. o 2011. How are you doing with all this snow lately? I for one will be glad when February is over.

Possibly you may be interested in the Maine meet-up that is being discussed for Nov. 19th at the Sea Dog. I don't believe a time has been set so far.

Do you own the kyak or did you rent one. And where did you go kyaking? I've always wanted to try it. Perhaps in Belfast bay or Castine.

How's the garden doing this season. Mine is about the best it's ever been. I have 99% flowers but my one and only tomato has been incredible. 5 red ripe ones already. I can't remember a season I had a ripe tomato before the end of August. Hydrangea has about doubled in size.. It likes the location along the edge of the garage that is moist and gets afternoon sun. Thinking of putting in another one and getting rid of much of the fern that seems to multiply there.

Hi - Hope you had a good winter. I'm looking for the last of the snow to be GONE and can get out and work in the flowers. The last couple times I was at the Buck Street Mkt. the Hungarian couple were not there. I should inquire and see if they will be coming back. I always like to get some bread pudding from the Greek lady "Panteli's" as my hubby loves it.

Yes! I like the Buck street market!! Oh, my, have you tried the hungarian food?! I love her stuffed cabbage!! And I have purchased nice sausage, and homemade ravioli from there, too! Once, I posted about my "non-traumatized fresh turkey" experience( ordered from a farmer at that market)...too funny... and $$$. My purple coneflowers are beautiful this year. Maybe I'll see you at the market there one day. I also to some saturdays to the one in Orono. Unfortunately, I'll be working the next 3 weekends

I have 2 tomato plants this year, one of those hanging ones that just produced 2 tomatoes lol - and a cherry tomato that I placed in my flower garden in the middle of the backyard. It is doing very well but I have never had this variety before - it is almost a maroon color but tastes great. Yes I love the farmer's mkts too. That Orono one on Tues. afternoons and Friday mornings is great as is the one in Brewer on Wilson St. Have you ever gone to the one on Buck Street on Sat. mornings? It is called the "European Mkt" and is opne year round Saturdays from 9 to 1. They even have home cooked things, organic meat, eggs etc. I love it because it is so handy to my house. Flowers that are doing well right now is my one and only hydrangea, black eyed susans, and the day lilies were spectacular this year.
