Our faith is getting a bit too folksy, too, if you ask me. Haven't they noticed that the more "relevant" services become, the emptier are the pews?

Me, I like getting dressed-up, and hearing grand organ music and hypnotic ritual, in a beautiful edifice.

Sounds like your father was a very smart and wise man! DH and I have basically reached your father's conclusion - about Mosaic religion in all its forms. To us, the quintessential AMERICAN mindset is that Mosaic religion (Catholicism, Judaism, AND the even more malignant M-word form) destroyed the Ancient World, and brought on the Dark Ages. That's why Greek Revival was more than just a system of ornament for our nation's founders. It was the embodiment of enlightened anti-ideology.

Lutherans have CATECHISM, too? How EXHAUSTING!!!!

Glad you enjoyed! Yes, his pelvis would not be out of proportion, if he had any upper body mass, at all. Apparently, he spends too much time playing with guns, and NO TIME lifting weights. These days, that makes for a guy who feels inadequate. That's OK... not everybody should be a bodybuilder. Wardrobes can compensate. Western menswear is all about compensating for the pear-shapes of the upper classes. This guy, however, seems not to have gotten that memo. I'll have to go to the thread, to find 'Just a Guy''s comment. Thanks for the praise!

And Maru had that tail going, again. I wonder what that signals. I can't read his body language. I wonder if Macaques are nice monkeys, or if they're violent creatures, like Chimps.

Thanks for adding to the thread! I'm pulled in too many directions, right now, to come up with a post worthy of your post.

Well, there's also the drapery to be considered. Good paintings of satin go for high prices, too. Still, that's at least four thou per cat. Exquisite kitty portraiture is 'tres chere'.

Thanks for the Calendar Kitty! Hopefully, yours would enjoy a photo shoot more than that one, who seemed to be barely tolerating it - especially at first.

Wonderful! And the ending was pure MAGIC! Like two owls peeking out from a hollow in a tree...
