Yes that would be fun. I have actually ended up calling on the phone many of my internet friends. My company that visited from Canada were met on, Well Social media I am not supposed to speak of the place here I guess. Amazing how much fun it is to visit with others in different areas. One friend called me from Alaska the other night. If you scroll past the photo of my new patio you can see many more of my house as it evolved over the years.
UGH now back to work on MY garage. It is making me crazy to have it in the mess it is in. Just needed coffee and to stir the crock pot. An hour later I am still sitting here.

You're very welcome for the rep! There are several C-D members I'd like to be friends with in real life (and several I wouldn't!). I'll happily put you on the good list. We can at least have a friendly virtual neighborhood.

If this is the address of the place you are considering. George Forrestre built this house and he was a good builder. My husband worked with him for awhile. 22950 Highway 75

Well Jerry I have not lived over that way for 20 years now. Loved the area but did not like the bitter cold for so many months. We like it better this side of the state. Closer to shopping too.

I would guess the clinic is still open in challis. I know they had a hard time keeping a doctor because of it all being so remote. I heard they did build a new hospital in Salmon.

There is a large hospital over this way. St Lukes that is constantly growing. Always hiring. I know this because my husband was in it for 24 days with his whipple surgery. Always new nurses coming in.

Email me if you want shades_of_idaho@yahoo.com sorry it took so long to answer back I was tied up taking care of things around here with hubby still getting well.

OH and we kind of retired when Joe was 45 and I was 35. We did work after that but it was because we wanted some thing to do. Good on you for being able to retire young.

Greetings to you....I hope you can help... I appreciate all your comments on threads about Idaho.. you have been around anyway, of all places, I am thinking of buying a place right on the Salmon river between Clayton and Challis. I have been teaching for 31 years and can retire in 2 months at the ripe ole age of 55. I love to fish and hunt and want to live near seclusion which this area seems to be. However, my wife is ten years younger and she hopes she can still find some nursing. I know there is a clinic in Challis that perhaps she could fill in at or maybe as a school nurse somewhere. Anyway, hope you can give me some insight...Jerry

Hi girl !! it's me from the frozen tundra! sure miss my sweet spot home in Grangeville. Why did I think living here was going to be better? arrghh!! In some ways it is, but others no. Daughter is now divorced, going to have tonsillectomy on Wed and I'm here to help her with the kids. Guess there was an underlying reason. Dorthy wants to to go home..lol

I really know nothing about boats. It is an outboard I think Motor sits on back. Boat called Alaskan. Smokercraft??
    Pyle Meadows - Moving in

There just are not all that many people around. There is also a pretty reservoir called Mann Creek. It is dammed up. I have not fished in so many years. Never in Idaho!!! So that is at least 24 years. Used to fish all the time when we lived in CA. As soon as the weather gets a little better and for sure AFTER next week because I have to work big time UGH. Will be a nasty week for me. I will make it through. I MUST think positive.

Chris a boat is essential in your neighborhood. What kind and type of boat, and where does he fish. Driving by Brownlee Reservoir last summer made me a little crazy. A lake that big w/ almost nobody on it in the middle of summer amazed me. When I drove around Indian Valley there was no one fishing Ben Ross Reservoir either. I Imagine Crane creek is the same. That is neat country you live in.
