There have been issues w/ that sewer line in the past.
We requested the survey. We wanted it since the lot was over an acre. We wanted to know where to mow the lawn and stuff.

sheenie, if you really like everything else about the house and it passed inspections, and all else is good like title search & insurance, neighborhood rocks!, Hvac is good, roof, water heater, etc, personally I would not sweat it. Crap happens (LOL) even in the best of homes. Nothing ANYWHERE Is ever guaranteed
Did the owner ever disclose any major plumbing issues? did the city ever admit to any issues in that immediate area with the sewer? Have you walked the neighborhood and spoken with neighbors about any issues?

you mentioned-I know experts and a couple engineering friends said this isnt a dealbreaker....think about it.
again , good luck...you sounded excited about the house in spite of this survey thang
PS- did YOU request a survey...or was it required by your lender?? Also, can you EVEN GET out of your contract at this late a date anyway??

HUGS- Breathe- you will have a new home one way or another!
