Hello. My husband and I would like to know about any really good deals on a short sale or foreclosure that is in a good location under $90k. Do you know of any? I don't want in a crime ridden area like Bradenton. We love the beaches and go over every chance we get and thought we would try to buy a little something for the week-ends. Looking for a deal but not something that is going to need tons of work. Thanks.

    Hi, SoFlGal,

Any suggestion for a good insurance agent. We are in siesta keys and need to get a good agent that knows what is required with competitive rates.

    Thanks!

    Hi SoFLGal!!
I was browsing through your posts here and I read that you do not do rentals but you offered Tim W some information on people who could help. Would you forward me some information for rental agents. I'm thinking about renting in Siesta Key, but all I seem to find are seasonal places.
    Thanks in advance!!!

Hello, I have a few questions and wanted your advice concerning a purchase I hopefully will be making shortly in the North Port, Port Charlotte area and I would like your honest opinion since I have read your blogs and you appear to have a lot of insight on not only the area, but other aspects as well. If you don't mind could you please contact me at broojita@aol.com. I will be traveling in two weeks to the area to preview homes and not only am I nervous I am unsure of what to expect and my realtor hasn't been the most helpful. Thank you.

If you are relocating to Southwest Florida and just aren't sure where to settle down, perhaps you should consider North Port.

Really, North Port is in the perfect location along interstate 75, it's just far enough away from the big cities to shield us from the high crime-rate and city slums, but close enough to them where traveling is a breeze. It's closest major city is Sarasota, which is well-known for it's shopping and arts culture. Further north are even larger cities, St. Petersburg...
