Split, I'm not sure me previous message got thru. If so I'm in luck, if not I'm looking for information about how Troy "looked" in the 50s and 60s. Location of different income levels of housing, manufacturing plants, shopping centers, histroic sites, entertainment centers, where did young people hang out, anything to add detail to a romance novel between an upper class female and a slightly older lower class guy. Any help you or your sister can provide will be appreciated.

    Split,

Thanks for responding. I have not finished the novel I was and still am working on. However, it would be helpful to have some idea as to how the city "looked" in the 1950s & 1960s. I have maps, data, & but none of them provide me with information such as the location of: homes of the wealthy, middle class, and lower income residents; shopping centers such as the CBD or malls, historic sites, what did young people do for recreation?; were all the manufacturing plants located along the river?; what about movie theaters and places of adult entertainment?;and how was Troy responding to the effects of the decline in manufacturing in the American Manufacturing Belt. The novel is a romance between an upper middle class female and a slightly older lower class male. I have written over 60,000 words but I am in bad need of the type of detail mentioned above. Any help you or your sister can give me will be greatly appreciated. LSM
