You mean why do we want to move to New England? Four seasons, winters, slower pace of life, lower cost of living, we love the NH and ME countrysides, but also the cities there which seem to offer big amenities but are really not that big. Basically, I do not want to live a suburban, fast-paced, CA lifestyle where there are no seasons. I want the opposite.

If you meant looking for specific types of homes... that all depends. We would not be in a position to buy any time soon, would need to save more money before that. My wife will be an RN soon, so we hope that will give us some options, but with this economy the way it is its pretty discouraging.

Hey, I just wanted to say howdy to a fellow former Ukiah-resident (I saw from a post you once lived there). I grew up in Ukiah, moved away a couple times and now live in San Luis Obispo. I hope to move my family to NH or ME one of these day... sometimes it feels like we'll never make it back there.

Anyway, just wanted to say hey.

We had nubian dairy goats. Right now just some Alpines, but we do not milk anymore.

Hi, I thank you for accepting my friendship. BTW, what breed of dairy goats do you or did you have? I have Pure Oberhasli, Saanens & Toggenburgs. A small herd of 20 total.

Hi, forest. Thought you were already on my friends list, but that's me. I can't keep anything straight. Although the fresh Maine air seems to be helping. I can actually recall people's names most of the time now. Thanks. I need all the friend I can get.

Aww thanks for adding me as a friend! The more I read about Maine, the more I wish I were there now. Every single day here in NYC I feel like I lose a little more of my mind.
    And I love your picture!

What a beautiful riverbank! That is your own little slice of heaven right there.
    Take care,

Dont blame ya one bit for choosing Maine. I'd take Maine over all of the LA's and other large cities.
