    Hey Eric,

I am from here originally so I knew there werent any waves. I am back now 2 1/2 years and I miss my life in California. I am grateful for my boyfriend, my job and all of that however, I miss the beach, real waves, sunrises and sunsets and so on. Coming from Cali has made me a wave snob; nothing I've seen in Rhode Island or the cape is up to California standards. Folks aren't as friendly here and I realize now how many friends I have in California.

I love the seasons here and I ski so I don't find the winters brutal at all. The first 2 winters I was back we got hammered with lots of snow and cold but last winter was lame.

I think its a great way of live in CT. I love being near New York, experience the four seasons and fall is bar none here as far as beauty. There are so many concerts to go see and so many amazing restaurants here I am in heaven.

Living in europe must be quite the adjustment. Are you trying to decide bewteen Connecticut and socal?

    Hi there, surfsnowgirl.

I was just reading back from your earlier post about being from Cali and moving to CT and being bummed by the lack of swell consistency.

I am also from Southern Cal (Long Beach, Laguna Beach, Newport) but I live in Europe now and I'm thinking of moving to CT.

So, I am curious how you have adjusted to living in CT coming from CA. Are the winters brutal? Are you at all frustrated not being near surf?? Is it a good way of life in CT??

    ANYTHING would help... Thanks!

    -Eric
