    Part deux....LOL
I bet your house is beautiful. Is it a victorian, or perhaps a craftsman bungalow? I've lived in several of the old school bungalows, in fact I'm living in one now, and I just find them so adorable. I love hardwood floors, the way they feel against the feet and the sweet creaking noises they make when you walk across the floor.

Hope you find time for a bit of relaxing after all your hard work. I may watch MM again as I rushed through it so fast the first time I'm sure I missed some precious details! lol

    Have a great day...HJ

Hey so glad to hear you're intrigued by the show! LOL I know what you mean about innacuracies...they can pull right out of the moment!! Thankfully that's not too big of a plot point, although it does lay the ground work for some things that happen down the road. I found the gender politics and social behaviors absolutely fascinating!! I learned a lot about the era...I have to admit I would have been one of the secretaries!! LOL

Wow good job on getting so much work done!! I picked up a bit over the weekend but nothing like I would like to do if given the time. Between dance and work I stay pretty busy but the month of December should slow down a bit!

LOL!! I am so with you on the procrastinated housework page!! Although I bet by now your house is all nice and tidy

You're welcome for the rec. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. It's hard to find something I want to watch now because almost everything else pales in comparison it was so well done! lol

How sweet that you have a daughter It must be lots of fun watching movies together. I'm going to check out The Red Shoes it sounds fantastic thanks for the rec! I love having streaming on NF. Last night I watched a BBoy doc Inside The Circle or something like that. lol Not the greatest movie but was an interesting look into the culture. Planet BBoy is a really good documentary if you ever feel like watching something on BBoyin'

Ahh yes, the Hermit card. I did NOT get to play it as much as I'd like this past week, lol, but have finally found some time to myself today. Hope you're having a lovely weekend with lots of fun with daughter and hubby!!

    Talk with you soon, HJ

do you like Polanski? I've just watched his latest film and loved it! He's in great creative shape, apparently, because he's showing how versatile he can be.

That's about all that comes to mind as a recommendation (for new releases) right now...

    Hello there!
It's been a busy few days! Good to hear you've been having some nice weather. Sometimes October around here is my favorite month just for the crisp air and blue skies

Ahh yes Seinfeld! So many moments of genius! Hahhahah...that show used to crack me up.

Have you ever taken a look at Mad Men? A couple that comes into my bar suggested I check it out. I did and I loved it so much I streamed through the first 4 seasons on NF within a few weeks...hehehe I think you might really enjoy it too Susque.

Your description of the Prince had me cracking up over here.
Staggering is just not a good look on anyone be it at the bar....or the stage

Hope you are having a lovely week with a little time to yourself for some movies. I'm right there with you...I am pulling the Hermit card on my days off! HJ

Well thanks Susque I too am enjoying out little chat! The Lord Of Karma

Lynch does dance *with* his films doesn't he?! I wish he'd start making movies again! He has a website I've visited a few times that deals with mentoring promising artists and spiritual practices(namely meditation)but I don't know if he'll ever return to film making He seems to be pretty deeply involved in this path.

I would so sooo soooooooooo love it if he returned to the world of Twin Peaks today; 20 years later. It would be fascinating! I own the Complete Gold Box Edition of the series."My precious....my precious"

Hope you're having a lovely weekend. Is it still snowing there? We've been getting a little chilly out here of late but nothing too outrageous. I got called into work tonight. I'm thankful for the $$$ but would like to stay home and work on hip hop. We are moving at lightening speed with choreography.

I knew there was an artist in you somewhere! XOXO HJ

    Part deux hehehe...

Oftentimes I wonder when I see a modern dancer dancing to something like the sound of crumpled tinfoil across a microphone(something I saw Friday night)I see the movement and all of it's beauty and...lol...it's seperation from the sound and I wonder to myself what the hell is propelling their movement?!!? lol An internal exploration, an inner voice, an inner space, an inner song, the space between their movement and the sound, all of the above........You'd be an awesome person to see a modern show with

I've only attempted Lost Highway once, but Susque you've shined the light of perspective for me on this film. I'm curious to watch with new eyes. It's been a long time. I think you must be some sort of artist

Hope you're having a lovely week and staying nice and warm!! HJ

LOL Susque!! I just went to a modern show last friday. It ran the gamut of emotions for me; everything from stark beauty to utter repulsion!! lol Normally I have a pretty positive response to movement so having such a strong negative reaction to something here definitely kept me thinking.

I started thinking about modern dancers and the way they use music as opposed to the genres that I dance. It's such a different way of working with music....another element in the mix rather than the body as a further expression of the sounds. The way a painter uses different colors....they may not even appear at all.

It seems to me to be the purest form of "art" in dance. I do enjoy watching it although I much prefer dancing what I look at as the "entertainment' forms of dance. I love melding my body with the music and all the different places it goes. It just feels sooooo good!! lol
