Thanks so much for your quick response. We're leaning more toward not getting involved with the politics and restrictions of HOA's. Thanks Again !

Are there any nice areas in PSL that don't have HOA's. I'm hearing some negative stories about the cost and management of them. (HOA's)

Lived in PA for a lot of years before relocating to FL.. Penn State was fun and great learning experience to my MBA. PhD has origins from 2 places and I have not accomplished it but who knows. I believe Florida does not apply enough emphasis on higher education as does the North such as DC, VA or Philly where I worked for 35 years. The Govt is a very good to excellent place for employment but difficult to get in the front door.. The VA also needs more Clinical Psychologists and Clinicans due to the troops PTSD derived from the Iraq and Afganistan wars.
An FAU PhD would be great but can you receive tuition assistence from any employer before you submit application?

My niece just earned her Master's in PA, I think Penn State. My sister is in Easton...are you PA natives? The positions I have held in MS and AL have been very low paying and very poor circumstances, things I have never witnessed before, and am hoping for a better salary (it would almost have to be higher anywhere else) and better working circumstances in South Florida where I had lived for 30 years (although not PSL)

I am not employed at this time nor will I be in the future. It is unfortunate because I just love learning and counseling....My school of choice is PSU. My wife is a graduate of Univ of Penn and much smarter than I.. hahahaha . NRC Ranking of U.S. Psychology Ph.D. Programs

Synergy, I had asked about your PhD program because I am considering one over at FAU, but you did not answer. Is it in counseling? I would rather follow a psychologist track, but it would take more resources than I want to contribute to it right now. I am going to PSL next week to scout different options out, most importantly career options. Cami1
