Americade is starting this weekend and into next week. A couple from Oak Harbor, WA, in their early to mid '70s, are riding their cycles out to Lake George, NY. This is their third trip together across country. They must be amazing!

Hi Jerry. Check out ADVRiders.com, that's where a lot of KLR and others hang out. We had a dozen bikes on Saturday's ride, I think 8 were KLRs. Here's the thread the locals post on: SPOKANE Area Riders - Page 136 - ADVrider It would be great to meet you. ON that site I'm IdahoRenegade.

    Hi,

There is some great riding in the area, and a great many places you can ride to from home. ATV use is legal on county roads and city streets. Following are 2 ATV clubs and a local dirt bike club. I'm on the board of one ATV club, a past president of the other and a member of PANTRA. Great people in all the clubs. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm anxious for the white stuff to melt in the mountains, time to get out and play! The wife and I want to go into the mountains and spend some time camping off the bikes. I did a 5 day trip last year and had a great time.

Thanks for the info! My husband and 9 yr old do dirt biking, atvs, and snowmobiles. We currently live in Western MA which is actually quite similar to Northern Idaho except for the humidity, smaller hills, and mosquiotos, but they are spolied - we live on a dirt road that connects to all the trails, so they don't even have to trailer. Is there a website for your ATV club I can pass on to them?

Funny, mine too. My little simease it my little girl. And we have 6 others, as well as three dogs. I've hit my limit, any more is hoarding. Besides, food and litter is frickin' spendy.
