I do some house/pet sitting in my community and answered an ad to sit with "Chopper", a black Standard Poodle. I loved him! He is so beautiful, a good dog, and just sooooo proud. He was a pleasure to stay with.

I remember Twin Pines Dairy, went there as a Brownie scout in the '60's. I had a scrapbook (long lost, unfortunately) and I wrote a book report about the trip. We met Milky the Clown and got a pint of chocolate milk to drink. Said BFF (below) moved from Ray, MI to Bruce, MI. Funny names. She moved north, I moved west. From the Irish Hills, home of Michigan International Speedway, to Texas. Happy New Year 2018 to you. (formerly Michigan Transplant).

I didn't recognize the exchange. I grew up in NW Detroit. Our telephone exchange was Kenwood, as in KE4-5678. I am old enough to remember when phone numbers went from letters and numbers to only numbers.

I knew you were/are in my home state as soon as I read Hamtramck in one of your posts. You then followed up with 25 Mile and Shelby Twnshp. My best friend lives out in Ray, on 29 Mile. Small world.

Poodles tend to bond strongly to the one who spends the most time with them, can be stand-offish to others. Sometimes, though, they identify a true "dog lover" and will bond to that person. They definitely have a fifth sense.

Beautiful Standard Poodle. My Aunt Honey had an Apricot female named Francine, aka Francie, when I was growing up. She made an impression on me.
