I hope you don't mind a direct message, but after reading these boards for a while I trust your opinion over any other's regarding crime/safety in various neighborhoods. I'm currently looking at a place at Allegheny and W. North on the North Side to move into. I know the Mexican War Streets area is pretty safe but I'm oblivious to areas outside of there. Took a tour of the place today and I love the architecture and area in general, but my future roommate (female cousin, 21) is concerned about safety and well-being mainly after dark. Any insight you could provide would be well-appreciated! Thanks.
