I havent given up the California dream completely...are you near the ocean?.. I am going to look at your albums now and get jealous!. Im stuck in NE Tenn still but house is on market.

I've enjoyed your posts and was wondering if you ever relocated to Fort Collins. I, currently, live on the West Coast (rainy Seattle), looking to relocate from the gray and high cost of living, but hoping to find a town with character, natural beauty and a relaxed/open-minded vibe. Like you, I've also lived in Boulder in the past and have been looking at Fort Collins as a possible alternative to the high COL in the Boulder area.

Still deciding where to go and wondered if you have any new insight?

Hi, Wisteria. Thanks for adding me as a friend. I saw your post and thought I'd had a senior moment and posted it myself! I'd like to "follow" your story as it so closely resembles my own! I'm 50, residing in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Soon all my chicks will be out of the nest. I'm a fan of small living. I want to downsize and relocate to a community-oriented town, buy or build a tiny house with a porch and a small patch of garden, buy a new purple wardrobe and move in with my cats! Maybe I'll name my cottage, "Cliche"! Ha, ha!

I just saw one of your postings on City-Data.com. I am a 65 year old female currently living in New York City with my husband. We are getting tired of the cold weather and high cost of living in New York and are researching other parts of the country to possibly move to. I have traveled to the Monterey/Santa Cruz area during trips to San Francisco (I don't drive and these were bus tours) and fell in love with the area. I was intrigued by your descriptions of your mobile home community and how everyone in the community looks out for each other. Could you tell me a little more about your community and the costs of mobile homes in the area. It would be very greatly appreciated.

I was crazy busy last summer working on the yard, having friends visit, traveling, camping, and doing things with a new friend from the ceramic studio. Been thinking of coming back to C-D but now my home computer died. Should be back in a month. Hope everything is going well for you.
